Xander and sister love their Kokeshi series picture books - they are adorable, whimsical, and have so much detail to love! We want to incorporate a Japanese Kokeshi doll in our design - but we don't want it to be just a cute and pretty type. We want it to be energetic, surprisingly fun, super awesome. Hence the name - "Not Your Usual Kokeshi"! When folded, it's a Kokeshi in bright orange Kimono. Unfold it, it's the same Kokeshi, skipping up HIGH and embracing the world, with her little kitten Neko looking up - all-impressed.
